Dr. Richard Kyalo Mutuku
Researcher and Programme Management Professional · Principal Consultant, Probit Research
Dr. Richard Kyalo Mutuku is a Kenya-based researcher and programme management professional with over 12 years of progressive experience across humanitarian response, human rights, programme management, finance and budget administration, grant management, capacity building, and inter-agency coordination in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa.
He holds a PhD in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration from Kenyatta University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Kenyatta University. He is currently an AfricaLics PhD Visiting Fellow at the African Centre for Technology Studies, University of Johannesburg.
He is IBM-certified in SPSS, Python, R, Tableau, and Cognos, and has authored seven peer-reviewed publications on citizen political behaviour, digital governance and technology adoption, and democratic innovation in Africa.
Why We Started Probit Research
Probit Research was born out of a clear observation: excellent scientific ideas frequently stall not from a lack of intellect, but from the isolated complexity of advanced methodology and analysis. The academic journey is structured and lonely in equal measure, which is how brilliant insights end up trapped in unapproved proposals and unsubmitted drafts.
We exist to change that narrative. Our mission is to provide an approachable, deeply collaborative space where researchers work directly with seasoned peers. We are uncompromisingly committed to helping scholars and institutions produce work that meets rigorous, internationally recognised analytical frameworks, while maintaining the highest benchmarks of ethical data integrity.
