The nature of our service
Probit Research provides coaching, training, and advisory services to graduate students, academics, and institutions. Our services are educational and advisory: we do not author theses, dissertations, proposals, or manuscripts on a client's behalf. Booking and payment
A 50% deposit is required to begin any coaching, training, or consulting engagement, with the balance due on completion of the engagement. Prices are quoted in Kenyan Shillings (KES); any approximate US Dollar figure shown is derived from a published exchange rate and is not a fixed quote. Starter Sessions are paid in full at booking.
Rescheduling and cancellations
Sessions may be rescheduled at no cost with at least 24 hours' notice. See our Confidentiality & Revisions Policy for the full detail on rescheduling and refunds for unused sessions.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for submitting their own work to their institution or publisher, for meeting their institution's academic-integrity requirements, and for disclosing the use of coaching or AI tools where their institution requires it. We advise on ethical AI disclosure but cannot guarantee any institution's acceptance of a proposal, thesis, or manuscript.
Intellectual property
All research content, data, and written work produced during an engagement remains the sole intellectual property of the client. Training materials, templates, and frameworks we provide remain our intellectual property and are licensed to clients for their personal or institutional use only, not for resale or redistribution.
Limitation of liability
We provide coaching and advisory support in good faith and to a professional standard, but we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes such as proposal approval, examination results, or journal acceptance, since these decisions rest with third parties.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute arising from an engagement will first be addressed through direct correspondence in good faith before any other process.
